Dr did not listen to anything I said. Recommended medications that are contraindicated in conditions I suffer from. Once she saw me as overweight she wasn't interested in helping me or listening to me. Just said being overweight is my only problem and once that goes away - everything else will be fine. Recommended surgery to correct and eating disorder that I don't have or exhibit symptoms of. I suffer from an auto-immune disease, so she straight away suggested I could have another, but said "do a test" in 2 months, so it can't have been that big a priority to her. One blood test from my referal (out of approx 10) showed a slight indication I might be pre-diabetic, but my own GP who has been treating my family and 1 for over 20 years was not concerned about it. My auto-immune disease has symptoms which I am exhibiting despite my medication and when prompted she advised that if I take my medication responsibly (clearly suggesting she doesn't believe I am), I would be ok. I went to her for help managing my symptoms and conditions and at the end of the appointment she had me referred to another specialist that has nothing to do with my problems, just because I am tired. She went out of her way to say that after seeing me and some papers for only 20 mins that my problems have nothing to do with my condition. My weight is my only problem and to go away and deal with that first. One of the primary reasons I went to her, is my conditions makes weight management hard. I have tried everything short of painful injections or surgery to lose the weight on my own. I felt smaller than a gum wrapper under her feet and so demoralised after seeing her, that I cried all the way home, and had a panic attack at home later on. How can someone with so little compassion or the ability to hear about her patients needs, every become a licensed physician. All the women in my family suffer from this condition and we need help - but I would not recommend going to see this pitiful excuse for a doctor. Not even for a flu shot.
